Use casein protein for a bedtime snack
Casein is a type of protein that is slowly absorbed by the body. This makes it ideal to take around bedtime so that the body has a steady supply of protein to help you recover from exercise. Of course you will not want to over do it because you are still bound by your overall caloric intake for the day. However, this protein will probably be far fewer calories than munching on a bag of potatoe chips. You can get casein protein from cottage cheese, milk or protein supplements.
